Sleek wine bar serving cheese & cured meats, flatbreads & small plates in sleek digs with a garden.
Known for its phenomenal wine program, Cru Cellars also excels with one of the best brunches in Tampa. The menu is packed with fun items like the amazing Bahn Mi Benedict made with Tasso Ham and the Français omelette made with Grand Cru gruyere, and served with maple-smoked gouda polenta and a croissant. On the sweet side, the oven-toasted cinnamon roll served with coffee chevre, crushed pralines and hazelnut dust is one of our favorites.
The most beautiful way to work out in Tampa is getting your miles in along the bay on this 10 foot- wide walking path that starts on the north at the Columbus Statue Park at Platt Street and ends at Gandy Boulevard, covering all of Hyde Park. A three mile on-road bike lane is located along the north-bound lane of Bayshore Boulevard between Rome Avenue and Gandy Boulevard.
One word: VIEWS.
Kitschy restaurant serving Cuban specialties, cocktails & weekend brunch, plus vegan options.
From Chef Luis Flores, Luv Child offers delicious Cuban cuisine in one of the coolest spaces in town. The food is fresh, bold and bright, and the drinks are always on point. Open late Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Luv Child is a great spot to listen to grab some food, have a cocktail, and vibe out to a great music mix of 70’s and 80’s beats. The outdoor patio is always a great party.
The perfect little all-day café, set on a sunny corner, Willa’s Provisions is our go to for killer breakfast tacos, donuts and grab and go salads for a weekend adventure or lunch in the office. If you have some extra time, grab a full sit down meal at Willa’s for some of the best brunch in town. Along with Buddy Brew (see further down our list), Tampa Magazine graced Willa’s with it’s top Coffee Shop of 2022.
Convenient and delicious, Willa’s is the ultimate chameleon – transforming from essential grocer, to yummy take out spot, to full on restaurant, to apres work cocktail hour star.
California fare & creative sushi rolls are the draw at this upbeat eatery with regular live music.
A great first (or second) date spot, Water & Flour serves an eclectic menu, but everything is really impressive. Located in SoHo, the décor is cool, but still inviting and it’s always a good scene. If you’re like us, you like spicy, and “The Heavenly Gates” is the perfect option if you’re going for a sushi roll – spicy tuna, avocado, cucumber, fresh jalapeno, with siracha aioli.
An intimate 8-seat tasting-menu-only experience by Noble Rice with a focus on superior ingredients.
This one is truly special. Koya is an intimate 8-seat, tasting menu only experience by Noble Rice, located in Hyde Park. The ever changing menu is always spectacular. Reservations are tough to snag, but they release on the 15th of each month on their website. Koya is definitely an experience, but it’s one that no Tampa resident should miss.
This coffeehouse using carefully sourced beans roasted on-site also offers espresso drinks & snacks.
A true Tampa institution, Buddy Brew Coffee is not only the best coffee in the city, but it’s the best coffee house. Grab a latte and bring your laptop for a great out of office experience where all the locals go. Convenient to all ILHP residents, there are 3 Buddy Brew locations in our neighborhoods – Hyde Park, SoHo, and Palma Ceia.
Sure, it’s the best hotel in Tampa, with convenient walking access to Hyde Park, Soho and Palma Ceia, but it is also a unique property that focusses on the culinary arts. Dinner at Elevage is a constantly evolving food journey, while their wine program is unmatched.
There’s really nothing like cocktails at the Epicurean’s rooftop bar and lounge, Edge. Take in the Tampa skyline and bay vistas with great music, snacks and great drinks. Oh, and don’t miss Chill Bros Ice Cream, located directly across from the lobby for some of the best ice cream in town.
